About the Movie
A handsome prince hopes to convince an American fashion company to bring more business to his kingdom. He hosts a Christmas fashion show, where he meets an intriguing young assistant.
MY THOUGHTS
Veteran Hallmark actress Cindy Busby brings her enjoyable trademark character to A Christmas in Royal Fashion with joie de vive and panache. In this typical take on the mistaken identity trope, the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles highlight a Christmas season in which the hero and heroine fight for ambition, purpose, and determination. While much is unoriginal in A Christmas in Royal Fashion, Busby does her best to elevate her heroine through hard-won lessons learned. The hero prince, while much too flat to encourage anyone to like him, shares a few emotional scenes with a hospitalized young girl that strengthen the plot. With themes of compassion, kindness, honesty, and forgiveness at the forefront, A Christmas in Royal Fashion is worth watching at least once. I don’t plan to watch it again, but this movie would provide excellent background noise while you wrap Christmas presents or bake cookies.
