Choosing winners from all those wonderful stories was quite a task, but 4 were selected.
However, there were so many great stories, that we’re going to be offering MANY of them the option of publication
here on WhiteCrown’s Princess Moments section, where readers who enjoy royal fiction can come and get these bite-sized works of fiction for free!
So if you submitted but aren’t one of these four winners, don’t despair!

Now a few words to our other entrants. Thank you SO MUCH for submitting! It takes real courage to put your work out there before judges, and we applaud each and every one of you. All of our judges expressed their delight in getting to read so many imaginative, fun stories.
Will I get my scores?
We will NOT be sending out scores…however, comments were optional, and if your story received a comment, we’ll be emailing you those in early 2025.
When will I hear if you’d like to publish my story, even though I didn’t win?
Our editors will be going through each category over the next couple months. Only one story will be published with each existing image; however, if there are multiple stories in a category that we’d like to feature on our website, new covers will be designed to suit them. It will take our editors some time to go through them all, so we thank you for your patience. If you do not wish your story to be considered for publication because you have other plans for it, please email us at princessmoments@whitecrownpublishing.com and let us know you’d like your story to be removed from consideration.
If you publish my story, do I still retain the rights to it?
You always retain the rights to your work, yes! We just ask for a 12-month window of exclusivity, when it’s available ONLY on our website. After that, you’re free to publish it elsewhere as well or use it for a magnet for your newsletter, etc.
Will you be having other contests in the future?
Absolutely!! This was great fun, and we were so excited to see so much interest! These contests will become a regular feature here at WhiteCrown, so be sure to keep an eye on us on social media and subscribe to our newsletter to hear when the next contests are.
Can I submit a story to you outside of the contests?
You certainly can! We are always open to Princess Moment submissions. Click on the Submissions tab for information on where to submit.

Will you email us if our story’s are chosen to be published?
Yes, we will! It will be in the new year at this point, but we’re looking forward to going through all the entries to select those we feel are a good fit for our website. =)
Have you ever considered a star wars themed writing contest?
We haven’t yet brainstormed different themes, honestly. =)
